Every coach says it…

“The fastest way to succeed is to find a coach or mentor.”

And they’re not wrong.

Top performers, athletes, founders, CEOs don’t go it alone.

They hire experts to help them level up faster.

They bring in consultants to fix what they can’t see clearly from the inside.

Even in my personal life, I’ve followed this advice.

When I got into weightlifting, I didn’t rely on YouTube tutorials, Reddit threads, or TikTok reels. I got a coach.

Because I knew that bad form would lead to injury, and I absolutely hate to be doing physio exercises when I could be chasing PRs after PRs.

Now, this isn’t an email telling you to find a coach.

It’s a reminder that before you look outward for answers, there’s deep value in doing it yourself.

  1. You get sharper.

When you’ve struggled through something on your own, you’ll know instantly if someone’s advice is gold or garbage. You’ve earned the right to call BS.

  1.  And arguably the more important reason: You build resilience.

Doing it yourself forces you to think. It trains your inner problem-solver to stop waiting for help.

Nowadays, things are moving so fast, even more so with AI…

That spending just a tiny bit of time to figure things out will sound “costly.”

Don’t know something? Ask ChatGPT.

Too busy? Hire someone on Fiverr.

Stuck? Quick! YouTube or Google the answer!

But when we rely too quickly on others?

We risk skipping the part that makes us valuable in the first place, and that is our ability to figure things out on our own.

Even before I worked with a weightlifting coach, I did what I could on my own.

I squatted and stretched to build a solid base before trying the sport.

Only when I hit a wall…when I knew I was starting to ingrain bad habits…did I seek a professional eye.

Same with my work.

When I help clients with email promotions or copywriting, I typically only bother them when I’m truly stuck or there’s something not within my control.

If we can train ourselves to fix things first before asking for help…

…we’ll start solving problems that even our current skill set wasn’t “qualified” for.

And honestly?

That’s the fun of the work.

And if you are looking for someone to help you with email marketing without constantly hopping on Zoom calls, endless email exchanges, or constantly checking on the work of others, then here's where to go:
