I’ve been writing copy for nearly six years now.

When you’ve been doing something that long, you have to find creative ways to keep the process novel, interesting, and fun.

I say this because my quest for maximum productivity and persuasion has taught me this:

Humans need novelty to pay attention.

Or in my case, to renew attention.

This applies perfectly to how content should be created in the age of AI.

Sure, AI can pump out articles faster than Trump can flip-flop his policies.

But at the end of the day (for now), it’s still just remixing what humans have already made.

So over time, AI-generated content won’t be enough to grab attention, especially if that’s your goal.

This makes it even more important for us to create content that’s novel, interesting, and fun.

Not just to keep ourselves engaged…

But to stand out in a world where everything is starting to sound the same.

That’s why I’m always on the lookout for new things to try, just so I can write about the experience with the kind of stories and quirks that, at least for now, AI can’t fake.

A few weeks ago, a YouTuber recommended WisprFlow, a voice-to-text transcription app.

Historically, these things hate me.

Maybe because of my accent, maybe because my thoughts jump around too much, or maybe because I’m voice scribbling in cursive. The results are usually a mess.

But WisprFlow has smarts.

It's accurate. It removes filler words like “um” and “ah.” And depending on the context—Google Docs, Gmail, Notepad—the transcription is automatically formatted to fit.

I care about this because when I use it, it saves me a ton of time. I use it for first drafts, quick Slack replies, and even typing out big prompts in ChatGPT. Great when I’m working under a clock.

Today, my trial ended.

Will I subscribe tomorrow? Maybe.

Because like I said, sometimes you just need something novel, interesting, and fun to keep doing the things you’ve always done.

And you need something to write about something novel, interesting, and fun to create original content.

If you’re swayed, here’s where to try WisprFlow, here’s my referral link.
