I’m writing this email in the morning as part of my batching routine.
If you didn’t know…I’ve been trying to write all my emails in one go.
For two reasons:
It’s easier to keep the momentum going.
I’m pretty time-strapped during the day, so batching helps me get more done.
Right now, I’m sitting at an island table on a tall chair that’s just uncomfortable enough that I want to finish faster. Funny how that works.
Sometimes, we need a shake-up. Something fresh to re-engage our brains, especially when routine starts turning into autopilot.
Same goes for your productivity.
If things feel stale, it might be time for a self-check.
Ask:
Is my system still working?
Or is it just familiar but not effective?
I do this for myself all the time (hence the sitting on the tall chair on an island table).
Because even when I think I’m being productive, the numbers sometimes say otherwise.
I do the same thing for my clients.
No, not with their time, but with their email flows and copy.
When they are deep in the day-to-day, it’s hard to spot what’s missing or what’s underperforming.
And that is when I come in with a fresh pair of eyes to see what needs fixing.
